Gas main upgrade underway in part of Hazleton
HAZLETON HEIGHTS – Work is underway to install a new natural gas main in the Hazleton Heights section of the city.
UGI Utilities says it has begun work to install a new natural gas main along Samuels Avenue between South Cedar and East Court, South Poplar from Muir to 352 South Poplar, and West Court from Samuels to Muir.
Construction is taking place Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm and drivers should expect lane closures and parking restrictions.
Work is expected to last through the end of April, the utility says.
