Bloom U. extends spring break as coronavirus precaution

BLOOMSBURG, Columbia County – Bloomsburg University students will have another week off as the university takes precautions tied to the coronavirus outbreak.

University officials announced in a statement today classes will resume Monday, March 23 “out of an abundance of caution for all members of the BU family.”

“During this extension, faculty will be provided training, both locally and remotely, specific to online course delivery methods,” the university said. “This will enable continuity of instruction if further delays of our students’ return to campus become warranted.”

Students will not be able to move back into residence halls during the extension.
