Upper Dauphin man accused of raping 15-year-old girl

ELIZABETHVILLE, Dauphin County – A Dauphin County man is facing several felony sexual assault charges, accused of raping a 15-year-old in 2020.

Robert J. Romberger, 27, of Elizabethville, is currently free on $50,000 unsecured bail.

State Police at Lykens filed felony involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors, and misdemeanor indecent assault charges against Romberger on Friday.

Romberger is accused of subjecting a then-15-year-old Elizabethville girl to “unwanted physical contact” and forcing “her to perform oral sex on him,” among other acts sometime in January or February of 2020.

He is also accused of sending the victim pictures of his penis and asking for nude photographs from the victim.

Romberger was arraigned Friday by Magisterial District Judge Rebecca Jo Margerum, who set his bail at $50,000 unsecured.
