SV hosts first annual youth football camp

SHENANDOAH – About 50 kids from across the county learned the ins-and-outs of football this week at Shenandoah Valley’s first youth football camp.

Head Coach Ed Moran said 47 kids were signed up for the camp as of July 6.

The camp was free to all Shenandoah Valley students and was open to all local students in grades 1-6.

Participants included students from Shenandoah, Tri-Valley, and Schuylkill Haven, Moran said.

Late during Tuesday’s events, participants played Ultimate Football, a combination of Ultimate Frisbee and touch football.

Today, a staff member from St. Luke’s will be on hand for speed training.
