SHENANDOAH – A bizarre crash involving seven cars — one driven and six parked — left the Glover’s Hill section of town looking like a disaster area late Friday night into Saturday.

Shenandoah firefighters were called to the 900 block of West Coal Street around 11:30pm for the crash.

First responders arrived to find a Ford Explorer SportTrac mangled broadside in the middle of the road, a Dodge Avenger similarly mangled on the sidewalk, and five other vehicles damaged as well.

Borough Police Lieutenant William Moyer told the Sentinel at the scene that the driver of the Explorer SportTrac fled the seen, and police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the driver.

A female passenger remained at the scene and refused medical treatment.

Moyer said the Explorer SportTrac was headed west on West Coal Street when it struck a parked Honda Civic on the south side of Coal Street, causing minor damage to the driver’s side and a mirror. The pickup then struck a Dodge Avenger on the north side of the street, as well as a Ram pickup, which was pushed into a Chevy Equinox. The Equinox was pushed into a Dodge minivan.
