Barnesville man cited for I-81 crash in Dauphin
SUSQUEHANNA TWP., Dauphin County – A Barnesville man was cited for a crash on I-81 near Harrisburg last Monday.
State Police at Harrisburg say the crash happened on Monday, Sept. 28 around 1:00pm on I-81 Southbound at Mile Marker 65.8.
Troopers said Derich N. Holman, 26, of Barnesville, was headed south on I-81 in the left lane.
As his 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee transitioned onto the bridge crossing the Susquehanna River, Holman lost control, striking the center concrete barrier, bouncing off that barrier and crossing three lanes of traffic before coming to a rest on the right-side shoulder.
The vehicle suffered disabling damage to the left-front wheel.
Holman was uninjured and was cited for the incident.
