Ashland man hurt in crash

ASHLAND – An Ashland man was hurt when his car was struck by a pickup truck in the borough Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened around 5:00pm at 13th and Chestnut Streets in the borough, behind the Washington Fire Co.’s station.

Ashland Police said a Mazda sedan was travelling along Chestnut Street, ran a stop sign, and was struck by a Chevy pickup truck.

The driver of the Mazda, Matthew Chester, of Ashland, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. No other occupants of the Mazda or the pickup truck were injured.

Ashland Fire and Police responded to the scene and remained on scene for about an hour.
