FRIEDENSBURG – This past weekend, the Mahantongo Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution recognized the 2026 Good Citizenship Award recipients, including three students from northern Schuylkill.
Miriah Getz, Mahanoy Area; Addison Marie Cuthie, North Schuylkill; and Emily Cristina Morales, Shenandoah Valley, were among the students recognized.
A banquet was held Sunday at the Country Restaurant in Friedensburg. Each participating high school in Schuylkill County selected a senior student to receive the Good Citizenship Award.
It recognizes qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism.
The honored students submitted applications, and letters of reference to the chapter’s Good Citizenship Award chairwomen. Those who wished to compete for the chapter’s scholarship also completed a proctored, timed essay.
