Frackville man faces murder charges in shooting death of wife
FRACKVILLE – A hospitalized Frackville man will face murder charges when he’s released, accused of killing his wife.
Andrew Peleschak, 57, of 222 South Center Street, was flown to Geisinger Medical Center near Danville early Saturday morning. He is facing first and third degree murder charges as well as felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor reckless endangerment, and misdemeanor simple assault charges.
According to the criminal complaint filed by Trooper Jordan Seiler of the State Police at Frackville, Peleschak is accused of shooting and killing his wife, Natalie, before attempting to shoot himself.
Troopers were called to the Peleschak home at 222 South Center Street around midnight to assist Frackville Police who responded to the initial report of a shooting.
Frackville Police arrived and took Andrew Peleschak into custody in the backyard of the home. He was found bleeding from the head and taken by Shenandoah EMS to the Shenandoah helipad where he was flown to Geisinger Medical Center near Danville.
Natalie Peleschak was found dead inside the home, troopers said.
A trooper interviewed Andrew Peleschak at the hospital and said the man “found messages on his wife’s phone that implied infidelity” leading him to shoot her twice.
Andrew Peleschak remains hospitalized and will be arraigned upon release.
