North Schuylkill band makes donation to children’s hospital

FOUNTAIN SPRINGS — The North Schuylkill Marching Band donated more than $2,000 to a regional children’s hospital Thursday.
Senior members of the North Schuylkill Spartan Band presented a check to the Child Life Unit of the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital in the amount of $2,452.61.
The monetary donation is in addition to new blankets and books presented to the Janet Weis Children’s Foundation.
Students raised the funds through the sale of Go Gold shirts sold ahead of the Jim Thorpe football game.
