HAZLE TOWNSHIP – Hazleton’s two Unified Indoor Bocce squads swept Panther Valley in a double-header Tuesday afternoon.

The games were held at the Maple Manor Elementary/Middle School.

Hazleton is fielding two squads once again this year, while Panther Valley is fielding one. The Panthers faced both Cougar teams once Tuesday.

Hazleton 1 came from behind to beat the Panthers 5-4, while Hazleton 2 dominated 11-2 in their matchup.

The Hazleton teams are undefeated this year in Schuylkill North division play in the Greater Lehigh Valley/Pocono region.

Panther Valley and Mahanoy Area make up the remainder of the Schuylkill North division, with the Panthers standing in third and the Bears in fourth.

The split between Schuylkill North and Schuylkill South split the Sentinel-area, putting North Schuylkill in the South division, where their two teams are third and fourth respectively. Schuylkill Haven leads the division with Pine Grove in second. North Schuylkill 2 is tied for fourth with Pottsville and Williams Valley.
