Police: Man sent nude photos of ex to her parents, new boyfriend in revenge porn act
GORDON – A Shenandoah man is facing more than a dozen misdemeanor charges after police said he sent nude photos of his ex to her parents and new boyfriend and demanded money to prevent more from being sent.
Jacob Hernandez, 22, of 26 East Oak Street, is facing 14 misdemeanors, including invasion of privacy, unlawful dissemination of an intimate image, and harassment, among others.
According to the criminal complaint filed by Butler Township Police Patrolman John Kaczmarczyk, the incident was reported to State Police and referred to township police.
Hernandez is accused of sending sexually explicit photos and videos of his ex-girlfriend to her mother and current boyfriend without her consent. The woman also said that she did not know Hernandez had the content to begin with.
He also threatened to send them to more people if she didn’t send him money.
A search warrant was executed on Hernandez’s phone and the messages in which the explicit materials were sent were recovered. Also found was a Facebook message to the woman’s father of the same.
A preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 25 before Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli.
