Shenandoah Ambulance displayed at Fire Expo
HARRISBURG, Dauphin County – As thousands wandered the halls of the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Dauphin County, checking out the latest in firefighting and EMS equipment at the 2023 Fire Expo, one of those displays was a Shenandoah ambulance.
Shenandoah Community Ambulance’s newest unit was shown off at the two-day annual event by J. Yurick Emergency Equipment Sales, of Sheppton.
The new Ford-based ambulance is a remount, meaning the used box was refurbished and placed on a new chassis.
Put on by the Lancaster County Firemen’s Association, Fire Expo is described as “the leading event for Fire, Emergency Medical Services, Rescue, and Public Safety Equipment in the United States,” showing off the “latest innovations in fire fighting equipment, apparatus, education, training, health safety and overall emergency response.”
Shenandoah’s Ambulance wasn’t the only piece of apparatus displayed from our area.
Hazleton’s new KME fire engine was also on display, along with an E-One engine from Bloomsburg and a Sutphen from Elysburg.
