Two facing drug charges after search in Minersville

NEW MINERSVILLE – Charges are pending against two from the New Minersville section of Minersville after a search warrant was executed on their home yesterday.
State Troopers, assisted by the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force, and Minersville Police, executed a search warrant on 515A Pine Hill Street yesterday morning.
Authorities reported finding 40 grams of methamphetamine, 3 grams of heroin, over $1,000, 2 digital scales, and miscellaneous paraphernalia.
As a result, charges are pending against two people: 48-year-old Nancy Luna, and a 17-year-old minor, both of Minersville.
Also assisting at the scene were Minersville Code Enforcement, Schuylkill County Children and Youth, and the ASPCA.
