PSP: 89-year-old Sunbury man swiped coffee, scissors, sandals, tea at Selinsgrove Walmart

MONROE TWP., Snyder County – A Northumberland County senior is facing summary charges after state troopers allege he swiped about $30 in merchandise from Walmart on Tuesday.
State Police at Selinsgrove report they were called to the Selinsgrove Walmart in Monroe Township for a retail theft call around 5:00pm Tuesday.
There, Walmart Loss Prevention staff reported a man, later identified as Ernest Hollenbach, 89, of Sunbury, “selected merchandise, concealed said merchandise, and passed all points of sale without paying.”
The items he allegedly tried to swipe: Folgers coffee, valued at $3.14; Scissors, valued at $19.97; Sandals, valued at $5.98; and tea bags, valued at $2.97.
Summary charges were filed with a local magisterial district court.
