SHENANDOAH – A longtime Shenandoah holiday tradition is entering the 16th year of its revival by Mrs. T’s Pierogies.

The annual Skydiving Santa event returns on Nov. 24, Black Friday, at noon at Veterans Memorial Stadium. Gates open at 10am.

Mrs. T’s says the first 200 children under the age of 12 will receive a free gift, and several of Santa’s friends will be awaiting his arrival on the ground, including Mrs. Claus, Frosty the Snowman, and Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

Face painting will also be available, and the band stand will be open selling hot chocolate.

After Santa’s arrival, the Shenandoah Christmas Parade will begin, heading up Centre Street to downtown and ending at borough hall.

If weather conditions are ideal, Santa and elves will arrive via parachute, but he could arrive via helicopter or other means if winds are not suitable.
