Kulpmont recognizes first responders with parade
KULPMONT – Fire apparatus, police vehicles, and bands from across southern Northumberland County were on parade here Saturday to recognize first responders.
The annual parade, put on by the Kulpmont100 group, has been held in the borough since 2018.
Saturday’s parade included fire apparatus from Kulpmont, Shamokin, Mount Carmel, Atlas, Natalie, Wilburton, and more.
The Mount Carmel Marching Band led the parade, behind police vehicles from Kulpmont and Mount Carmel Township.
Law enforcement units from Shamokin, Mount Carmel, and the State Police also participated, as did Knoebels, the Warrior Run High School band, and more.
The parade began at Veterans Memorial Field on the east end of town and proceeded along Chestnut Street to the west end.
