Coroner called to officer-involved shooting on West Coal Street
SHENANDOAH – The Schuylkill County Coroner’s Office is at the scene of what state troopers are calling an officer-involved shooting at a home on West Coal Street early Monday morning.
At least a dozen state police cruisers along with the coroner’s office have been at 309 West Coal Street since at least 2:30am.
Trooper David Beohm, public information officer for Troop L, which covers Schuylkill County, tweeted that troopers and the District Attorney’s office were “investigating an officer involved shooting” at that address.
Further details have not yet been released.
As of 6am, West Coal Street is closed from West to Gilbert.
