Candidate announcements welcomed ahead of election
SHENANDOAH – The Shenandoah Sentinel welcomes campaign announcements ahead of the primary election.
Any announcement must be received before Nov. 4. Announcements should be 600 words or less and are subject to editing for grammar, style, and length.
Candidates must be running for office within the Sentinel’s coverage area. Specifically announcements are welcomed for the following:
- Countywide races in Schuylkill, Columbia, and Northumberland County;
- School board races in the Shenandoah Valley, Mahanoy Area, North Schuylkill, Hazleton Area, and Mount Carmel Area districts;
- Municipal races in the following municipalities:
- Shenandoah
- Ashland
- Mahanoy City
- Girardville
- Gilberton
- Gordon
- Frackville
- Ringtown
- McAdoo
- Mount Carmel
- West Mahanoy Township
- Mahanoy Township
- Butler Township (Schuylkill)
- Union Township
- East Union Township
- North Union Township
- Conyngham Township (Columbia)
- Delano Township
- Ryan Township
- Mount Carmel Township
- Black Creek Township
- Kline Township
Write-in campaigns are welcomed, as are photos.
