Borough man injured in Vulcan Hill crash
VULCAN – A Shenandoah man was taken to a local hospital after a crash on the Vulcan Hill near Barnesville during Wednesday’s snow storm.
State Police at Frackville said the crash happened around 5:30pm on Barnesville Drive between I-81 and Hillside Drive.
A 2020 Kenworth tractor trailer, driven by Anthony Nigrelli, 39, of Bethlehem, was disabled, blocking the entire roadway, troopers said.
Brian Dillman, 49, of Shenandoah, was heading east on Route 54 in a 2018 Jeep Cherokee when his vehicle struck the trailer portion of Nigrelli’s truck.
Dillman’s vehicle was towed from the scene, and he was taken to a local hospital via Mahanoy City EMS.
