FRACKVILLE – Pool rates will stay the same, though workers will receive a $5/hr raise for the 2023 season at the Frackville Community Pool.

At a special meeting of borough council Monday afternoon, council voted 4-0 to maintain the same pool rates as the 2022 season.

For Frackville Borough residents, a single season pass is $85, and a family pass — for two adult and up to four children under 18 — is $180. Additional people in the family can be added for $10 each.

For residents outside the borough, a single season pass is $100 and a family pass is $210.

Daily rates are $5 Monday through Friday, or $2.50 between 5pm and 7pm, and $6 on Saturday or Sunday, or $3 between 5pm and 7pm.

Council also approved raising pay for pool workers by $5/hr, and providing an additional $1/hr for returning workers.

Lifeguards will make $15/hr, concessions workers will make $12.50, and the managers for both departments will make $17. If they are returning from last year, they will make an additional $1/hr on top of the raise.

In other business, council approved the annual fireworks display for Monday, July 3 at dusk at the Frackville Little League Field.

The borough also approved a motion to advertise to hire pool workers and road workers for the summer, and to advertise for bids for the 2023 roads program.
