PA sweeps Big 26 Classic; Chowansky awarded Player of the Game

HARRISBURG, Dauphin County – This past weekend, a trio from Schuylkill County took the field alongside the best of Pennsylvania’s high school baseball players to face the best from Maryland, and, after four days and three games, Pennsylvania triumphed with a sweep, and a local earned Player of the Game.
Shenandoah Valley’s Will Conroy, North Schuylkill’s Zach Chowansky, and Tri-Valley’s Chase Herb participated in the four-day event which featured three games, on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, at Harrisburg’s FNB Field. On Thursday, players were partnered with a buddy an intellectual or physical disability.
Chowansky was partnered with Aidan Corby.
Pennsylvania swept the three games, 12-5, 7-0, and 11-6. Conroy pitched in game three, and Chowansky batted in a three run homer, which earned him player of the game.
After the game, Chowansky presented Corby with his home run ball.
