Former bank listed for sale
SHENANDOAH – A bank building in the heart of downtown Shenandoah has been listed for sale.
The former Santander Bank at 2 North Main Street closed in April, merging with the branch 14 miles away in downtown Pottsville.
The bank originally opened in 1917 as Miners National Bank of Shenandoah. A chain of mergers began in the 1980’s, eventually leading to Santander in 2013.
This week, the nearly 6,000 square foot building at Main and Centre was listed for sale by Metro Commercial, of Plymouth Meeting.
Metro is asking for $350,000 for the building.
