Hazleton man to be cited in hit-and-run crash

HARWOOD – State troopers say a Hazleton man will be cited after they allege he fled the scene of a weekend crash in Hazle Township.

Ivan Santos, 20, of Hazleton, was driving a 2013 Infiniti on Route 924 near Harwood Road heading towards the city, according to the State Police at Hazleton.

Troopers said he was travelling in the right lane as another Infiniti was in the left lane.

Santos lost control of his vehicle and struck the other vehicle, spinning it into a guiderail.

Neither driver was injured though troopers say Santos fled the scene towards Hazleton.

He is expected to be cited for the hit-and-run.
