Kielbasi Fest returns this Saturday in downtown Shenandoah
KAYLEE LINDENMUTH / SHENANDOAH SENTINEL - Attendees pack Main Street in Shenandoah for the 2023 edition of the combined Kielbasi Festival and Heritage Day celebration.
SHENANDOAH – This weekend marks one of the biggest days of the springtime in Shenandoah: it’s time for Kielbasi Fest.
Thousands will pack Main Street this Saturday, May 16 beginning at 10am.
The Parade of Nations kicks everything off at 10am as part of the combination with Heritage Day, formerly an August tradition.
A staple of the area, the event has grown to span the entirety of North Main Street in the borough with three blocks full of vendors, food trucks, and more.
Of course, the Kielbasi Kings of Shenandoah — Lucky’s and Kowalonek’s — will be there along with Mrs. T’s Pierogies.
There’ll also be musical entertainment throughout the day, including polka music.
The event runs from 10am through 4pm.
