Borough man accused of stabbing brother

SHENANDOAH – A Shenandoah man is in Schuylkill County Prison, accused of stabbing his brother.

Esteban Jaejuc, 26, of West Coal Street, was arrested on felony aggravated assault and related charges early Sunday morning.

According to the criminal complaint filed by Shenandoah Police Patrolman Leo Luciani, officers were called to the 500 block of West Coal Street for a reported stabbing around 3am Sunday.

Captain Travis Bowman and Patrolman Mindy Parker-Petrus arrived to find a man suffering from a stab wound to the neck and administered first aid.

The man was taken by ambulance to Geisinger Medical Center near Danville where he underwent surgery.

Patrolmen Mark Hysock and Cristian Vasquez travelled to the hospital to interview the victim after surgery and he identified the suspect as Jaejuc who was taken into custody at his home on West Coal Street around 3:30pm Sunday.

He was arraigned and committed to Schuylkill County Prison, unable to post $25,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is set for May 7.
