PSP: Auburn crash kills Schuylkill Haven man
AUBURN – A Schuylkill Haven man is dead after state troopers say he left the highway and struck a utility pole and parked car here around midday Monday.
Wayne Haller, 61, of Schuylkill Haven, was pronounced dead at Geisinger St. Luke’s Hospital, State Police at Schuylkill Haven said in a media release.
Troopers said he was driving a 1995 Chevrolet on Market Street in Auburn around 11:30am Monday.
He was heading east on Market Street when he left the lane, struck a utility pole and then a parked Ford Transit.
He was unresponsive when troopers arrived and was taken to Geisinger St. Luke’s Hospital by Auburn EMS where he was pronounced dead.
Firefighters from Auburn, Orwigsburg, and Deer Lake all responded to assist.
