PLCB returns $1,600 to Shenandoah, thousands to area
SHENANDOAH – Shenandoah Borough is receiving $1,600 back from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board from liquor licensing fees, the agency announced this week.
Nearly $2 Million in licensing fees statewide is being returned, the PLCB said. They are required to return license fees to municipalities twice a year.
Payments in this round ranged from $25 to $735,000, they said.
Shenandoah’s payment is $1,600.
Other local communities receiving money back include:
- Ashland: $1,150;
- Frackville: $800;
- Girardville: $350;
- Mahanoy City; $1,800;
- McAdoo: $250;
- Butler Township: $400;
- East Union Township: $250;
- Ryan Township: $800;
- Union Township: $350;
- West Mahanoy Township: $650;
- Hazleton: $4,850;
- Black Creek Township: $600;
- Conyngham Boro: $200;
- Kulpmont: $800;
- Marion Heights: $200;
- Mount Carmel Boro: $800;
- Mount Carmel Township: $550;
