PLCB returns $1,600 to Shenandoah, thousands to area

SHENANDOAH – Shenandoah Borough is receiving $1,600 back from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board from liquor licensing fees, the agency announced this week.

Nearly $2 Million in licensing fees statewide is being returned, the PLCB said. They are required to return license fees to municipalities twice a year.

Payments in this round ranged from $25 to $735,000, they said.

Shenandoah’s payment is $1,600.

Other local communities receiving money back include:

  • Ashland: $1,150;
  • Frackville: $800;
  • Girardville: $350;
  • Mahanoy City; $1,800;
  • McAdoo: $250;
  • Butler Township: $400;
  • East Union Township: $250;
  • Ryan Township: $800;
  • Union Township: $350;
  • West Mahanoy Township: $650;
  • Hazleton: $4,850;
  • Black Creek Township: $600;
  • Conyngham Boro: $200;
  • Kulpmont: $800;
  • Marion Heights: $200;
  • Mount Carmel Boro: $800;
  • Mount Carmel Township: $550;
