Mahanoy homecoming festivities ongoing

MAHANOY CITY – This week is Homecoming Week at Mahanoy Area and students are celebrating.
School activities, the district says, include themed dress down days and will wrap up with a schoolwide pep rally on Friday.
There, the Homecoming King will be crowned.
Under the lights at Alumni Stadium Friday night, the Homecoming Queen and members of the court will be crowned at halftime of the Mahanoy Area football game against Marian.
A parade precedes the football game starting at 5pm in town.
2024 Homecoming Queen Oliva Kennedy will crown the 2025 Queen.
