Planners mull 1.2M square foot warehouse in Foster Twp.
BUCK RUN – Planners are considering allowing a 1.2 million square foot warehouse to be built here.
The Schuylkill County Planning Commission received the plans in August for a new warehouse and subdivision on abandoned mine land in Foster Township, near the village of Buck Run.
They are expected to approve a plan review at their regular meeting on Wednesday at 6pm. The Foster Township Planning Commission and Foster Township Supervisors must still approve the plan.

According to the plans submitted to the county, the warehouse is planned on abandoned mine land southwest of the former 901 Pub, with access via Pleasant Road.
The land is owned by the Reading Anthracite Company, Pottsville, and the applicant is CRG Acquisitions, LLC, of St. Louis, Missouri.
The property is zoned Industrial and the company wants to split the land into three parcels.
