ATV crash claims life in Ashland
UPDATED – ASHLAND – One person was killed in an ATV crash behind the Ashland Post Office Wednesday night.
The crash happened around 8pm just north of 9th and Race Streets.
Ashland firefighters were called to the scene and an air medical helicopter was originally called and then cancelled.
The Schuylkill County Coroner’s Office was then called to the scene.
Beth Yost, 37, of Butler Township, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Ashland Police.
She was the only occupant in the ATV.
Police said she was riding a Polaris Sportsman on private property when it tipped over backwards, rolling onto her.
