Zion Grove native promoted in State Police

ZION GROVE – A Zion Grove native received a promotion to the rank of Major in the State Police.

Kyle R. Teter received the promotion Friday, Colonel Christopher Paris, commissioner of the department, announced.

Teter, a 1984 North Schuylkill grad, will now serve as Director of the Bureau of Records and Identification.

Previously, he was Director of the Bureau of Gaming Enforcement.

He enlisted in the department in 1997 and was assigned to Troop L at the time. Teter has since served in Troop L, Troop K, the Bureau of Integrity and Professional Standards, and the Department Discipline Office.

He previously received promotions in Corporal in 2005, Sergeant in 2008, Lieutenant in 2012, and Captain in 2020.
