West Mahanoy firefighters handle car fire in William Penn
WILLIAM PENN – A vehicle was destroyed by fire at a repair shop in this West Mahanoy Township village early Wednesday morning.
Firefighters were called to Primo’s Garage in William Penn around 2:30am for a reported car fire.
A Shenandoah Ambulance crew found a Nissan aflame outside the garage along Mount Olive Boulevard.
Flames consumed the vehicle before the first engine arrived.
Firefighters from William Penn, Altamont and Shenandoah Heights extinguished the blaze, which also damaged a Ford Focus parked next to the Nissan.
No injuries were reported.
Route 54 was briefly closed during the firefight.
