Tree blocks Route 54 near Girardville

HOMESVILLE – A downed tree blocked Route 54 in this Butler Township village near Girardville for a short time Saturday afternoon.
Girardville’s Rangers Hose Co. were called out to the area of 224 Homesville Road for the tree down around 5:00pm.
Firefighters cut the tree and removed it from the roadway, reopening the highway to traffic in short order.
