Tombstones downed by hit and run at Union Township cemetery

UNION TWP. – State Police at Frackville are investigating a hit and run Sunday morning which caused damage at a cemetery near Ringtown.
The crash happened around 7:30pm on Feb. 2 at St. John’s Cemetery on Brandonville Road near Cemetery Hill Road.
Troopers say a red newer model Ford Taurus was headed westbound on Brandonville Road when, while making a right hand turn, left the roadway and downed five headstones.
The vehicle fled westbound.
Troopers say the Taurus is believed to have front end damage.
