South Grant fire ruled arson
SHENANDOAH – Thursday morning’s blaze on the east end was arson, Shenandoah’s fire chief said Thursday afternoon.
Chief Rick Examitas said a state police fire marshal visited the scene at 4 South Grant Street and determined the fire’s cause was arson.
The home was vacant and no injuries were reported in the blaze. The home was purchased late last year by a Lehigh County man.
Examitas asks the public to report any suspicious activity or squatters in vacant homes to local police.
Anyone with information on Thursday’s fire should contact state police or the Schuylkill County Communications Center.
