Shenandoah elementary schoolers get up-close look at fire apparatus

SHENANDOAH – Elementary schoolers in the Shenandoah Valley School District had the opportunity to get an up-close look at the town’s fire apparatus and ask questions of its firefighters Friday morning.
It was all part of the annual Fire Prevention Week.


Trucks from the Columbia, Rescue Hook and Ladder, and Polish American fire companies were on hand.
Kids from various grade levels received a walk-around tour of the trucks and asked dozens of questions of the firefighters who showed them around.
