Rush Twp. PD seeking cigarette thief

HOMETOWN – Rush Township Police are seeking a man who they say swiped a carton of cigarettes last week in the village of Hometown.
The incident occurred around 8am last Tuesday, when a white male, in his mid-20s, went to the convenience store on Claremont Avenue and asked for a carton of Newport Menthol 100 cigarettes. When the clerk grabbed the carton, the man took it from her hands and ran from the store.
The man, wearing camouflage shorts, a red Under Armour hat, and a hoodie took off north on Route 309 in a black Ford Escape.
