PSP: Borough man slams door on troopers serving warrant, threatens to torch house

SHENANDOAH – A borough man wanted on a protection from abuse (PFA) warrant is accused of barricading himself inside a North West Street home Thursday.

State Police at Frackville reported that, around 9:00am, they attempted to serve a PFA warrant on Michael Teaschenko, 43, of Shenandoah, at 228 North West Street.

Troopers arrived and Teaschenko slammed the front door of the residence on them.

Additional troopers arrived and Teaschenko threatened to burn the home down, saying he was not going to go to jail.

Troopers said he refused to come out or let police in, and forced entry was made into the home.

Teaschenko was then taken into custody.
