Pottsville man with warrant arrested when car burns, caught with controlled substance at county prison
BUTLER TWP. – A Pottsville man with an arrest warrant was taken into custody as troopers responded to a vehicle fire in the Highridge Industrial Park.
Troopers were dispatched to Highridge Park Road in Butler Township for a vehicle fire around 2:30pm March 6.
The owner of the burning vehicle, Michael Brown, 38, of Pottsville, had an active arrest warrant, troopers said.
He was subsequently taken into custody and transported to Schuylkill County Prison.
At said prison in Pottsville, he was found to be in possession of a controlled substance.
