Police: Man broke into neighbor’s backyard, busted cameras, swiped bike
GORDON – A Gordon man is in Schuylkill County Prison, accused of breaking into his next door neighbor’s backyard, destroying her security cameras, and swiping her mountain bike.
David Sadusky, 44, of 502 McKnight Street, is facing felony burglary and criminal trespass charges along with related misdemeanors for the incident.
According to the criminal complaint filed by Butler Township Police Chief Christopher Hand, police were called to 500 McKnight Street for a burglary in progress on Friday.
The caller told police that Sadusky had broken into her “rear porch area”, destroyed two cameras and stole a mountain bike.
Tracks led from where the bike was kept to Sadusky’s garage, which was open with the bicycle in plain view inside.
Officers observed the broken cameras and the victim said she was able to positively identify her bike by an inscription on the frame.
While police were speaking to the victim, Sadusky exited his home and went into his garage where he was promptly arrested for burglary.
A neighbor also reported seeing him enter the yard and exit with a bicycle, greeting the neighbor in the process.
Sadusky was arraigned Friday and committed to Schuylkill County Prison, unable to post $75,000 bail.
A preliminary hearing is set for Wednesday.
