ASHLAND – Ashland’s 9-11 Little League squad is moving on to the District 24 tournament final.
Ashland hosted Pottsville Saturday evening at Toewe/Rebuck Field at Eureka Park.
By the fourth inning, Ashland held a comfortable 10-6 lead.

Six runs in the top of the fourth put Pottsville in a must-score situation.
Ashland’s defense, though, kept that from happening, securing the win via mercy rule.
Ashland moves on to the final next Friday, July 9, facing Saint Clair/Port Carbon/New Philadelphia in Schoentown.
