One transported, one taken into custody after East Union crash

EAST UNION TOWNSHIP – One person was injured and another detained at the scene of a crash between Brandonville and Ringtown Wednesday afternoon.
The crash happened on Rattling Run Road just east of the Park Crest Fish and Game club around 2:15pm.
A Chevrolet Impala struck a tractor trailer near the worksite for an upcoming bridge replacement and rolled.

Firefighters from Mahanoy City and Sheppton-Oneida had to rescue the driver from the vehicle. They were placed into the care of medical personnel from Shenandoah and Frackville EMS and taken to a local hospital.
A female passenger was detained by state troopers at the scene as well. She was not injured, nor was a third passenger.
The sedan was towed from the scene by Stauffer’s Towing, Zion Grove.
State Police are investigating.
