One transported after Mahanoy crash

MAHANOY CITY – One person was taken to a local hospital with suspected minor injuries after a crash in this borough Thursday morning.
The crash happened just before 11:00am at Linden and Spruce Streets in the borough.
A Jeep Patriot SUV drove onto the sidewalk and downed a fence, stopping short of a tree on the northeast corner of the intersection.
The driver was taken by Mahanoy City EMS to a local hospital with suspected minor injuries, police said.
Mahanoy City’s West End Fire Co. responded to the scene along with borough police.
The vehicle was towed from the scene by Steve’s Towing.
