One flown from I-81 truck rollover

RYAN TWP. – One man was flown to a local hospital after a tractor trailer crash on the Interstate early Wednesday morning.
The crash happened just before 2am on Interstate 81 Northbound at mile marker 127 in Ryan Township.
According to Ryan Township firefighters, a tractor trailer rolled in the median and a man had to be rescued from the crash.
The Interstate was shut down for a time during the crash and an air medical helicopter landed on the highway.
A rescue from Mahanoy City’s West End fire company was also called to assist, as was a heavy wrecker.
Also assisting were firefighters from Frackville and West Mahanoy Township, as well as medics from Ryan Township and Schuylkill EMS.
