Megan’s Law scofflaw jailed in Shenandoah
SHENANDOAH – A Shenandoah man is heading to state prison to serve his sentence for a Megan’s Law violation and is now facing another.
Joshua Williams Koncsler, 27, of the 300 block of West Lloyd Street, was jailed Tuesday on a felony charge of failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.
Shenandoah Police Patrolman Leo Luciani said in court paperwork filed Monday that Koncsler had failed to verify his address and be photographed when required in the first quarter of this year.
He was given an opportunity to do so between Feb. 24 and March 2, Luciani wrote.
Koncsler was convicted in 2016 of Unlawful Contact with a Minor, requiring him to register as a sex offender pursuant to the Megan’s Law.
He also pleaded guilty to the same charge of failure to verify his address and be photographed in January. That charge was also filed by Shenandoah Police in August.
Koncsler was sentenced to serve one to two years in prison on the earlier charge in February and is beginning to serve that sentence today, according to online court documents.
He was arraigned Tuesday on the more recent charge and bail set at $25,000 cash.
