Mahanoy FD, community hold Celebration Parade

MAHANOY CITY – Fire sirens blared and horns honked for all kinds of celebrations Saturday afternoon in Mahanoy City, all part of a Celebration Parade orchestrated by the Mahanoy City Fire Department.

The parade began at 3:00pm heading eastbound on Centre before winding its way down each east-west thoroughfare in town.

Blake Brassington, 4, of Mahanoy City came out with a sign asking passersby to honk in celebration of his birthday.
