LVHN establishes coronavirus test centers in Cressona, Hazleton
HAZLETON, Luzerne County – The Lehigh Valley Health Network has established coronavirus testing centers across their service area, including Cressona and Hazleton.
The standalone testing centers are for if a patient has symptoms after a screening.
LVHN is offering free screenings by phone and online, either via the MyLVHN Nurse Information line at 1-888-402-LVHN or via an LVHN Video Visit via the MyLVHN app.
“We want to screen community members via these technologies so that they can remain in their own home and only need to leave if testing is needed,” LVHN said in a media release. “This screening helps reduce the spread of COVID-19, and it helps keep our doctors’ office open and available to provide other important care.”
“We are taking extraordinary steps to deliver the smart, comprehensive care people need through new ways to screen, assess and test,” said Brian Nester, DO, MBA, FACOEP, LVHN’s President and Chief Executive Officer, in the same release. “We are reassuring the community that they can continue their routine and essential appointments and care while staying safe.”
If, during the screenings, someone has symptoms, they’ll be tested at a standalone assess and test location.
Locally, such centers are in Hazleton at 140 North Sherman Court and Cressona at 35 Sillyman Street.
