HS FOOTBALL: Spartans complete undefeated regular season, down Lehighton 48-14

FOUNTAIN SPRINGS – The North Schuylkill Spartans will take a perfect record into the postseason, after a sound victory over Lehighton at home Saturday afternoon.
Saturday’s game was North Schuylkill’s first in two weeks, after a positive coronavirus test prompted a hiatus.
Most of the scoring in Saturday’s game came in the first half, with the Spartans taking a 41-7 lead into the locker room at the half.

The two squads exchanged a pair of scores in the second half, ending the game at 48-14.
Next week, the 6-0 Spartans host the 5-3 Tamaqua Raiders in the first round of the PIAA District XI playoffs. That game will be at 7:00pm Saturday at Spartan Field.
