MOUNT CARMEL – For the second year in a row, the reigning state champion Tigers saw their undefeated season swept away by the Red Tornadoes Friday night.

The largest lead Mount Carmel would hold would be 27 points in the second quarter before Southern narrowed the gap.

Southern’s comeback ran out of steam as Mount Carmel took the 42-30 victory.
Mount Carmel improves to 6-2, while Southern falls to 7-1.
